NJHS OFFICER APPLICATIONS
NJHS President - Is the leader of the organization. Works with sponsors to lead meetings and sets meetings with other officers to organize community service projects.
Sonya Kulkarni - I hope you are doing well. I am writing to you to express my interest in becoming an NJHS officer. The positions that I would like to apply for are the NJHS President and the NJHS Vice President. It would be an honor to serve as an NJHS President/Vice President. I strongly feel that I would be a perfect fit for this position focusing on the five pillars of NJHS:1) Scholarship: I feel that I excel in all areas of educational curriculum,
2) Leadership: I am a natural leader with a key emphasis on being a servant leader, meaning that I will not only direct but work really hard to ensure the success of NJHS. In addition, I am also a Team Captain in debate and a GSG Leader that demonstrates my wide spectrum of leadership skills,
3) Citizenship: I contribute to the school and help my fellow students as much as I can,
4) Service: I have 216 hours of volunteer service focused on teaching and leading
and
5) Character: my friends call me a kind and respectful person, and I am the recipient of 2 IB awards in 6th and 7th grade.
In addition, I will lower your taxes.
NJHS Vice President - Is the lead in organizing and communicating with community service organizations. Works with sponsors to communicate with the service organization's liaisons.
Franklin Wu - I have had a great time at Lanier and a big part of what made that experience great was the friendships that I made. In our final year here, and as a part of NJHS, I would love the opportunity to help to give back to the Lanier community through service projects in NJHS, in tandem with my friends, fellow NJHS members. We can accomplish a lot in the time that we have left here at Lanier and I think we can make our class, the NJHS Class of 2019, one that makes a positive mark on both the school and the greater community at large. I think we are all motivated by the same desire - to not only make a difference, but make a lasting positive impact. As members of the NJHS, I think we have the time and capacity to work together collectively to make positive change and make a difference that counts.
NJHS Secretary - Helps sponsors with organization, takes attendance in meetings, and documents meeting discussions.
Gargi Rakhade - I would like to run for NJHS secretary because I have good organization skills, communication skills, leadership skills, and I am responsible. NJHS secretary needs to be very organized, and I believe I qualify for that. I am very organized person, and I can make sure everything in NJHS is organized as well! I am also very responsible and make sure to document everything in the meetings, and not miss any details, because, I am responsible and organized! I also have good communication skills, I can effectively and efficiently communicate with the sponsors/organization and with all of the other officers and of course members of NJHS as well. I would also love to take a bigger part in our community to make it a better place. So for these reasons, you should vote Gargi for NJHS secretary.
NJHS Historian - Documents all the great stuff we do as a NJHS organization. Works with the Webmaster to get photos posted to the website and creates an album for the end of the year.
Ava Phan - I would like to run for the NJHS Historian. I believe that I am an excellent photographer that can include everyone in the pictures that are taken. I will be able to attend most of the events to take pictures and record all the club activities. I will also be able to communicate with our webmaster to get all the great stuff we do posted on the website. I am also capable of creating an awesome album that captures all the memories that NJHS makes during this school year. Besides being a good photographer, I am a student that manages time and can multi-task. If I am nominated for Historian I will be able to keep my grades up and report the fun and helpful things we do in NJHS.
NJHS Webmaster - Helps sponsors with website management and purple page communication. Works with the historian to make Lanier NJHS more visible on campus.
Kalina Peneva - I would like to run for the NJHS officer position of webmaster because I would like to expand on my knowledge of how to format and build upon a website. I believe I have a lot of creative ideas that could be implemented in the website to help attract more people. I believe that this would be a great opportunity for me but most importantly I believe that I have a lot of useful input into the lanier NJHS website that would really help it improve (more so than it already is).
